Fleece can be a wonderful alternative to loose beddings!

    Fleece
    Cotton Towels

POLYESTER FLEECE

Not all bedding is disposable.
Polyester fleece does not absorb urine but lets it soak through. Some people combine it with other beddings by putting a polyester fleece cloth over pine shavings or other absorbent materials.

Check these tips for cleaning fleece: CavySlaveinCA's Tips - Forum Post

        Pros:
Soft and allows fluids to drain through (polyester)
        Material is reusable
Guinea pigs seem happy (reports of popcorning pigs)

        Cons:
Areas used frequently may require daily maintenance
Hay and poops must be removed (shaken/brushed off) before being washed.
Not as effective if more pigs in smaller area

COTTON TOWELS

Towels, heavy cotton cloth or cotton fleece can be used in the public area in combination with smaller, more frequently changed towels in corners and sleeping areas or litter/hay boxes.

        Pros:
        Soft and absorbent (cotton)
        Material is reusable
Guinea pigs seem happy (reports of popcorning pigs)

        Cons:
Areas used frequently may require daily maintenance
May be hard on washing machine
Hay and poops must be removed (shaken/brushed off) before being washed.
Not as effective if more pigs in smaller area
Some people have a problem with odor
