This is a very sweet young adult boar at Carson Valley Shelter. We were told today that he will be euthanized soon. He's a nice tame pig who deserves a good home.

If you are looking for a guinea pig in the L.A. area, please consider adopting this gentle guy. Contact is sheltercavies@hotmail.com

My hay offer stands, for him, or for any of these little ones it might help.

If you find someone with females interested in him, I could also make a contribution toward his neuter.

I'll help toward his upkeep and neuter, if that will buy him some time.

She's going to get him in an hour. We have an adopter for him, I think, on the 4th.

They have plenty of room for him at the shelter. They are just a$$holes.

Well, the new piggie is doing well in his temporary home. We named him Willy. My daughter named him Willy because he is a chocolate/caramel color and it reminds her of Willy Wonka but I wanted Willy for "Free Willy" I thought that suited him well. He is eating all his veggies and very curious about all his surroundings. He seems to be very healthy and weighing 884 grams. He is by far, as sweet as can be.

I am so glad to hear this. I dreaded reading this thread.
Willy is a perfect name.
