Utah - 21 pigs need homes!

Oh gosh!! I would love to adopt one or 2 of these piggies! I live in Colorado though so I don't know how feasible that would be...

I have 4 right now - 2 males and 2 females. 1 female is an American red, the 2 boys are also American but they are white, black and red, and the other female is a red Abby. All of them are so sweet!

I started with 1 in July and as is the norm by the end of July I had 3 more! I am sooo addicted to them! I would LOVE to be a foster mommy too.

I really would have to do some major begging and pleading with my husband. He told me after we got the last 2 that we weren't going to get more, but he has really fallen in love with them (no surprise there! :) ) so I may be able to convince him!!

I wish you were here too Missy1 - we have an overabundance of homeless pigs in Utah right now and are in need of foster homes.

Is it time for another piggy railroad?

I don't think so E. We're at 22 pigs now and all the mommas have had their babies; so hopefully that's it for a while. I need to update websites and post more flyers. Problem is my lack of time... so adoptions are not moving as quickly as I'd hoped.

I still want you to mail me this one:

she looks like she's made of pipe-cleaners (no idea where that comes from) I'd name her pippie! heh.

Missy1 - If you decide to get more pigs, please go to Cavy Care Inc. in Aurora. Shannon has almost 200 pigs in need of homes, as well as other small fuzzy creatures, and is in dire need of foster homes, too.

It's a Netscape/Explorer thing. I told Lynx about it.

The picture covers text on my screen too.

Isn't she sweet Erin? Oh, and please mark the last female from litter 1 as adopted. She went to a good home this weekend where she will have lots of love and a piggy friend. We built the two girls a 3x2C&C cage. They named her Chloe.

That's the text from the post with the picture!

Erin, edit your post and move the text from below the pic to above the picture. That should solve the problem with the pic overwriting the text in Netscape. It's a quirk of the new forum software.

Erin has added Faye and Minnie's new babies to the Utah Rescue page (thanks Erin!). See the new arrivals at:

http://www.imageevent.com/erin8607/utahrescues

Erin, if you read this, you can mark Rufus as "adopted." He went to a good home that already had another male Guinea pig.

Minnie and Little Red have an adoption pending. As do Daisy and Clementine.

I might even have a very special adopter for Scruffy (fingers crossed). She went to the vet today and is looking very healthy and gaining more weight. The vet declared her "ready for adoption." It will break my heart to part with her. She has been such a little angel.

Hey Erin,
You can put adopted under "Scruffy". Sunny is dropping her off at my house tomorrow, she has healed up nicely and will be coming to live with my 5 girls. We are naming her Lola and looking forward to her arrival!

Yep, Cordelia and her husband... both softies. Today's the day for Scruffy (now Lola) to go to her new home and meet her new family.

I've become quite attached to the little rugrat -- and I wouldn't feel good about her going to any other home. Cordelia has piggie heaven at her place. She has 5 girls (i.e. princesses) that live free range in the living room and are only put in their cage at night. They sleep in velvet cozies and are fed with silver spoons (okay, I made up the part about the spoons).

Erin, I will send you an "after" picture to post beside Scruffy's original photo so you can see how beautiful she's become.
