I know what you mean. I looked on Gumtree yesterday and was certain I stumbled across 2 lethals. I really couldn't take them (one was a girl) and now I feel really bad.

Red guy would be okay here. My boy has pea eye and has regular trips to the vet for his bladder stone meds. I really need to stop looking for pigs! One will turn up if and when the sun shines on us. That's how I ended up with my last 4 (all Guinea Lynx related piggies)

It's so much easier to be sensible about a good fit when the pigs are already in rescue and safe. There's a lovely pair of boars in Fife whose owner has been reposting them ever cheaper. I can't under any circumstance take a pair neverm ind get to the location, yet still my fingers are hovering. It's brutal. I totally need to not look.

Yep, you stop it, and I will too! Honest!

The perfect piggy will make himself known when the time is right.

It looks like stepping away from Gumtree was a charm.

The rescue got a single male in yesterday. A 2 year old un-named(!) red chunk with a white crest. He has a bit of a head tilt from an old infection and is untested so far with other pigs but regardless, that's my pig.

I hoped I'd get a red pig someday. :)

Brilliant news! Red pigs are so funny, I had one many years ago, I loved his red coat and his boar-attitude.

Yay!

We'll need pictures of course.

(as IF we won't get them!)

Congratulations on your new addition! I'm sure he'll fit in fine and he's got a great home. :-)

I always feel sad for the pets on Gumtree, treated like cast offs alongside random household items or the product of less than knowledgeable breeders. But I guess in a roundabout way, that's what I ended up with!
