I am currently fostering an intact, orange, american smooth hair named Benny. He is seeking a new and loving home.

Age is somewhere between 4 and 5 years old. He is very well socialised and healthy. No past or present health problems as far as I know.

He is alone currently, but will need to be adopted out into a family with a cagemate for him. I am very happy for potential cagemates to be introduced at my home and I am willing to drive up to 7 hours (possibly longer if the match is especially good) to transport him at no cost to you.

I am in Ithaca, NY. Please post on here or email me directly if interested. Benny is really a sweet boy and will warm to you immediately.

If I don't hear from a good home on here I will transport him to the MSPCA in Massachusetts (Methuen), but i would prefer for him to go straight to a loving home.

Benny is still looking for his perfect forever home! My default plan is to drive him up to Nevin's farm SPCA in MA on the 18th of December, but I'd love for him to go straight home and not have to spend time in a shelter. Contact me between now and the 18th if you are interested. I'm happy to drive a long way for this little boy!

I am also willing to stick around upon delivery and help with introductions/check that he gets along well with everyone if that would help.

So tempted! We're pretty maxed out at five here, though.

I'm a new member, and live in Schoharie County, NY. I've been planning to adopt a guinea pig (actually I was thinking more along the lines of a bonded pair, as I know they are usually happier with a friend -- but then I saw Benny, and...) for a while now, and have been collecting supplies. (I got a Midwest 2'x4' cage for Christmas, in fact -- I have a very understanding husband. ::smile::)

I hope I'm not overstepping a boundary by using this as my first post, but I joined the site yesterday, and I've just now seen this thread about Benny.

Did you take him to MA, or do you by some chance still have him?

I'll send a note through the email interface, too.
