Just a shot in the dark, but we now have a 2 year old female who just lost her female buddy who needs a new friend.

Anyone live in Ohio who has one they are looking to get rid of?

I was going to post a link to a Cleveland-ish shelter that recently had 3 young females, but when I just checked the site and they have all been adopted.

Don't know how far you're willing to travel, but here's another sweet looking girl in Cleveland: ... leveland+APL

Email GL member Catie Cavy through the mailer here. She may have some good ideas for places to start.

Sorry I didn’t have a chance to respond sooner. Are you still looking for a guinea pig?

There are no rescues in Ohio that I know of. The closest to us are near Pittsburgh, although they may be willing to meet you half way. Most of them actively post on Petfinder. Wheek Care might be the most active:

The Cleveland APL, which GuineaPigMomo1 linked above, is also a good place to adopt from. However, they don’t always have guinea pigs and when they do, they go quickly. You could also search on Petango. Many of the area shelters post there instead of Petfinder.

Craigslist might the closest place to adopt from in our area. Be sure to check both the pets and the for sale sections. You'll have to screen carefully and not everyone responds, but you'll definitely be saving a life.

Good luck and please keep us updated.
