It appears that the shelter in Menands (Albany NY) has two surrendered piggies that are probably a bonded pair. The listing says nothing about it. They are posted separately but the posts went up on the same day. I cannot afford to adopt at this time. Vet bills are not in my budget. Please share if anyone in the area has suggestions for helping. It breaks my heart to see them possibly separated.

You could call them and see what you can find out. Perhaps they are young and spent very little time together or maybe (despite having a hopefully large cage), they have never gotten along.

i. e. see if there is another reason they are being listed separately.

I went to Hudson Mohawk Shelter website to get their phone number and only one of the pair is now listed as available. She’s been taken off of Petfinder, as well. The remaining piggie is a sweetie.
