Alden likes pig butts and she can not lie...! :)

Oh gosh, I love that pic of Ouiser motoring away from you! She has some long sexy legs!

Ouiser had ovarian cysts removed back in December. Other than those nasty things, she was in good health at her first vet visit. She's healed up nicely from her surgery too so I would expect no long term "girly" issues.

She lost over 100 grams after the cysts and her other parts were removed so yes, mash could be in order but I think she's a petite girl to begin with. She may not get much over 1000 g.

Hey, at least I didn't NAME her Roosterbutt! And did you notice how fierce the butt mullet is? It needs a bath and a trim, but I figured I'd let The Snick show off for a week!

This morning both pigs were on the lower level. Ouiser has mastered the downwards trip, but I'm not sure how good she feels coming back up. Snickers was wheeking frantically that he knew he should be upstairs for breakfast but Ouiser wouldn't come, so could it please be served downstairs today? And Ouiser did her "Oh, we're wheeking?" wheek.

Ouiser looks like she has that SUPER soft fur too. And the cutest little rooster booty of course!

I don't believe that girl can get into trouble. Snickers must have set her up!

I just realized that we have nicely groomed, sleek boys, and girls with wonky hair going every which direction. Really, I'm not copying.... really.

Copy away... if Jasper was half as bored as Snick, he's better off now!

And speaking of Ms. Ouiser...

This is the downstairs hayrack. The upstairs one is tipped toward the grids, so it isn't leap-into-able. I had thought this one was safe, because Snickers is too big to get his fat butt up into it, and Charlie never tried. Ms. Ouiser, however, had apparently no problem!

ha ha, she looks like she's saying 'I own this hay rack'. Snickers will never be bored now.

Ms. Ouiser thinks a bed of hay is just divine. The smell, the feel, being out of Snickers reach, and don't forget the snackability.....

Oh my! I LOVE Ouiser! And look how happy Snickers is looking! They make a lovely couple! I love all the pics but especially the one of the hay rack lounger, above!

May Ouiser spends many happy, long years in the lap of luxury, which is your home, Alden :)

Here is a lovely picture I took tonight of Snickers and Ouiser dining cozily, side by side...

Image
Or rather, that's what it WOULD have been a picture of, if Ouiser weren't so fast! Now it's a picture of her right flank, some kale, and Snickers saying "Wuh...?"

Those of you who have followed my pig-meanderings know that one of the things I love about The Snick is his hair. He's some kind of mutant teddy-up-front, Peruvian-in-the-back mutt with this fabulous crinkly, stiff hair that turns into long mulletness behind his waist. And he has these gorgeous, comical whiskers that corkscrew out of his nose.

Or he did have... took me a while tonight while he was pancaked on my stomach to figure out what was different about him, but eventually it dawned on me that his whiskers are entirely gone. No other hair seems to have been trimmed (I immediately checked the still-fierce butt mullet) and no hair seems to have been pulled out, that I can see. But there it is. Snickers has lost his whiskers.

While The Snick was pancaked on my stomach, telling me all about the last week, Ouiser chirped very quietly in the cage. All of a sudden the pancake was over. Snickers stood up and nose-in-the-air-d in the direction of the cage, answering with louder peeps. It was adorable. Then he started tugging on my shirt, which he does at the end of (his idea of) snuggle time.

I put him in the cage and he ran down the ramp. To his credit when I'd taken him OUT of the cage Ouiser had been on the lower level. I don't want to credit him with more brains than he has, but I thought that was kind of neat. Anyway, Ouiser had actually crept UP the ramp while Snick and I were chatting, and was in the tent, so Snickers went totally the wrong direction. And while he was downstairs I scooped up Ouiser and went to lie back down on the bed.

Ouiser didn't seem either thrilled or terrified, until I found juuuust the right spot to rub on her butt. But until then, she was totally silent. And Snickers went NUTS. He ran laps on both levels, consecutively, nonstop, as if he might have missed her someplace the first sixteen times he looked there. It wasn't until he heard Ouiser chirping on my stomach that he settled down, and even then he was calling to her.

Ouiser, by the way, still has all her whiskers. And weighed in at 896 this evening!

What a sweet story. Wow, Ouiser looks small in the pics, but she's actually heavier than my nearly 2yrs old girl, also an abby and who weighs 825g. Ouiser sounds like a real character. You might just have a wanna-be hairdresser on your hands.

Whisker elimination and hair chewing must be the female gp's way of controling the male. ;)
