So, we went out for a pig-nic, before it gets too hot here, and before the grass got cut. Everybody was pretty happy.

So everybody kind of split off, into peaceful pairs, even though these particular pairs don't live together. There was Smokey and Snickers together...

And then MoonPie and Louie. Louie did some serious sniffing around MoonPie's buttmullet, thinking about barbering, (you can see it's kind of humped up a little) but decided to eat grass instead. Notice the choco-spot, that always reminds me of Alden's Charlie.

But after a while, Louie decides that the outside is just not for him. He always does this. So I end up with three good little guys doing this...

And one little twerp doing this...
Image
pignic5 by friend2kitties2011, on Flickr
... trying to climb me, and back into the basket, to go back into the house. Finally he ended up doing this...
Image
pignic6 by friend2kitties2011, on Flickr

... getting between my back and my shirt. Silly pig.

We did make a new friend, though. She was awesome.

The boys look so happy eating fresh grass and getting some sun. Louie is just unique.

I would have loved a clearer ladybug pic, but she was moving and Louie was climbing on me while I was trying to take it, so I'm lucky it came out at all! :)

It has been raining and hot here, so no outdoors unless we want to go swimming in puddles or "mud rasslin" (wrestling).

Louie is very happy outside if I hold him in my lap and individually feed him blades of grass. Everyone else wants to be let go so they can eat their fill. He wants to be spoiled. Tsk. Little love bug.

Did some holding and snuggling today, but just subjected one piggy to pictures. Guess who?

Louie went galloping over to meet Leo before I could stop him... luckily it was all fine.

Super calm, super docile, super non hormonal Smokey freaked out and went on a spree all last evening and night of chasing Louie everywhere with intent to hump.

He's never done this to anyone, ever. He about drove me and Louie nuts. He even forgot to be skittish for a bit when I put my hand in the cage to clean and add hay.

Today, all is normal and quiet. Weirdness.

Smokey loves the bunny babes, and apparently Louie too. Sometimes.

Another of my sweet Smokey, then. This was taken a few weeks after adopting Jester, one of Smokey's truest loves, ever (and mine too).
Smokey and I still miss you, Jester.

Here is the video from that exact moment of photos, Jester was very young...

And here is a baby Smokey, still super shy, with Moose.

It was my first video, and everything they did charmed me so.

Thank you. You can just see how much they loved and trusted each other. And I used to have the best lamp for taking pictures in my room until it just literally fell apart.

Losing little old man Moose was awful. He was so sweet. And then losing a still-young Jester after surgery was a terrible blow. Louie has helped, with all of his mischief.

For my Mother's Day -- and I'm a Mom of 6 boys - one feline, four cavy, and one finny - I got portraits. I took the portraits, since the boys aren't good with the camera. I wasn't too good with it. I like Snicker's and MoonPie's picture, one of their best, but Smokey and Louie's is not that great. The lighting is funny. Some outtakes will be coming later.

I posted it in the Pigs in Hats thread, so I'll post it here too... Smokey, with his once-long locks, being a little snowman. The hat was on a tiny barrette, and with his long hair, he didn't even mind it. So funny!

I got portraits last night of other things besides just FACES... I mean, that would be boring, right?
