So cute! I recognize that weight chart! I have my book around somewhere, in an archive, no doubt.

Yes. Given that last month she was mildly confused about the purpose of hay and vegetables, she has learned really fast.

I don't know if Cici has tipped her off to this or if it's just a thing some pigs do, but she's also developed Cici's frustrating habit of not TAKING treats from me but assuming I'm going to hold them while she eats at her own sweet pace.

I know the PigCam photos are less than ideal, but this one is good enough and so sweet that I had to share.

What is it with boars who want to spoon and sows who don't?

Also, I miss Snickers a lot. Every day.

Sending big hug! We miss Jessie and Jemma everyday too. They even enter my dreams, even now I have tears in my eyes. You're not alone in your pain and sorrow. Wish I could give you a real hug!

Sending a hug too. Facebook's memories feature is really kicking my bum. It throws up photos I haven't seen in years and just for a moment the memories are fresh and real but those pigs (and Stephen particularly) aren't here. I hate it.

Steve likes making a mess.

Image
And Truvy P. Butterbean isn't quite sure she likes being cuddled yet.

That is quite an epic mess. Can't say I haven't come home to the same, but there is NO fleece floor showing in that photo.

All The Hay is spread around to make a better bed. I guess. Truvy is a real cutie pie.

Well, Truvy had better get used to being snuggled, with such an inviting hairdo! :-)

I think Truvy is fated to be a snuggle pig.

Much better than being a struggle pig!!

The Elder Ladies got some very useful mail yesterday.

At least they think it was for them. I haven't told them yet that it's going to be hung up outside.

Baby's first corn! She wasn't sure what the heck was up, and it was adorable. She took the piece out of Cici's mouth, then put it down. Then she took the piece out of Steve's mouth and put it down. Then she nibbled on some unclaimed silk. And then she popcorned in confusion!

It is funny because when I brought Steve home I was sitting on the floor watching the (ill-fated) introductions and I texted SlavetoFuzzy that I felt I had a lot of smooth short-haired pigs. After fuzzy Snick and crinkly Albert and spiky Ouiser, I found myself with three fairly tame-haired pigs. Cici of course has fabulous locks, but it felt a little monotonous overall. So I said I hoped the next vacancy would coincide with her having something more exciting in the hair department...

... And two days later the shelter called about the homeless hamster!
