Dedicated to giving comforts to Guinea Pigs, Cavy Slaves and many others since 2003.
www.WindeSpirit.com

Ever since I started saying I'm sewing for a cause, a good many folks adopted that as store name for me. After a while it grew on me too, so either name, it's still me!

Products come along that are great, but not always in fabrics, designs, or sizes that is best for your loved ones needs. And while one product is good for the others, some may need accommodating to get it to work for you or something entirely different. That is where I can help, designing something just for your needs or just simply making something larger/smaller. Long hair, wetness problems, skinny pigs, walking difficulties, overheating, no matter the problem, I enjoy a challenge to customize to your needs at very reasonable prices that are often unmatched.

A few items in the product line includes, Cage Blankets, Pockets & Corner Pockets, Tunnels, Pads, Quilkets, Chiller/Warmer Bags, Acorn and Gumdrop Houses, Cavy Lazyees, and Cavy Crafts (cruisers) . Fleece animals are also available. With a wide variety of products to choose from, we are always looking for another original way to help all our family members be comfy.

While our family has evolved, each member (The Paw Crew) does help in the way things are made. It's a hard life of fun and lounging being part of The Paw Crew ensuring items are made safe as possible for Guinea Pigs different needs. You can meet The Paw Crew on their pages and find out their roles in how they help on the web site.

One more important mention, each item sold at regular price benefits a Rescue/Sanctuary. Any item that may be excluded is noted, such as Child's Play items made only during summer months.

And a Huge Thank You to all that has helped us past and future, with a Special Thanks to Guinea Lynx and Kleenmama’s Hay Loft.

Thank you Lynx, I like the tiger print also. The black boarders seem to give it that extra something to.

Ordering of products is available again on the "Design it for me" pages. It is exactly like ordering things in earlier years when you told me what you wanted and I picked what fabrics I have available in that range of colors. Sometimes I got creative, sometimes more subtle creativeness.

Basically, I have 6 huge boxes of fabric all in different sizes and what is possible to make with each fabric is completely impractical to even list, so it sits. It needs to stop sitting, specially when some of the fabrics where favorites that sold out fast. I just need to know what you want of houses, beds, blankets, tunnels, etc... and in what sizes to be made. Many of the dual color combinations, patchwork like designs, and such come from ordering like this as well. Here are 2 pads for example.

A few repeating questions:
Are Pad Paks still available? Yes, they are!
Michigan trip this year? I'm heartbroken to say no.

You are so creative with how you put things together! There are some people who don't know what they're missing!

I'm sure some lovely designs will emerge. I'm now sorry I didn't order more pads when there was a discount on international shippings. Plus my girls really love the HZ tunnels and canopy (1 of the 1st things my senior girl dashes into after cage cleaning).

Thank you gals :-)

GP_mum, I'm glad your girls love their HZ Tunnel and Canopy so much!
*blush* Actually the USA free shipping and discount on all out of the US was reinstated last week for the rest of the year. I've only announced it on the web site and yesterdays newsletter till now. I think I'll stay with yesterdays theme of thought ... misjiff managed! :-)

Obviously I'm back in town, have been for a couple weeks now, but had to just leave this as it was for the time. Think it's safe to say you all know what happened (look in general chat if not).

Today I reinstated accepting orders again.
Working a good bit slower then before and spacing out in thoughts often, very easily distracted at even birds in the yard, but, I think it's time to try and pick up feet again instead of shuffle along.

Things are slowing moving on and it's time for some long overdue updating here now that I'm starting to feel more myself.

The ordering system got changed back to what most of you already know, I won't touch it again, at least for another 10 years, unless I'm forced to! There are still a few pages I haven't gotten fixed yet, so if you're waiting on one in particular, just sent me a message and I'll make those the priorities.

Late last year Hutch House Cozies were introduced by customer request, because of their more specific designed and intended for use I haven't focused to much on them though because of that.

The past month I've been doing some shameful teasing of the newest house, officially released today.
Turtle House

They come in 3 sizes (so far) and for the rest of the month they are $2.00 off, any size.

The past several months I've also been working on dwindling my 'scraps' boxes making scrappy patchwork pads and blankets. They take a bit of time to put together, but it's adds up like nickles and dimes all the same for me. In the spirit of getting ready for a move a couple towns over, I'm not charging for pads and smaller blankets made in the patchwork style, the bigger the blanket the bigger the patchwork pieces will be. It might be blocks, rectangles, triangles, or just the crazy anything goes curves and corners, color variations different and interesting. Each and every one is truly unique is about the safest thing to say. But here's a couple of the most recent examples:
Example 1
Example 2
They do only come in the items with batting in, that means all the high absorbency things, sorry, it won't happen. But regular pads, traditional blankets, even tunnels, not a problem.

And the moving thing, Eric is finally saying life isn't getting any younger and taking the plunge to buying and house! And yes, we're taking a full month to move so I'll be able to easily keep up with orders :)

One last special for this month. Any house purchase, be it a new or old design, will receive an additional free scrappy patchwork pad. Any house, any size. No codes to use, it's a automatic freebie!

Oh, a house! That is super! I hope you enjoy it and hope that all the sheetrock stays on the ceilings! ;-)

And the patchwork pieces look wonderful!
