Don´t know what it was, E. If I didn´t know better, I´d say it was a full moon and all the boards had gone crazy.

I got rid of all the spaces so it is smaller. Now we are wondering what marvelous words you deleted.....

I was just trying to suggest putting the towels in the dishwasher. The drying cycle is hotter than any water you´ll have in your home (unless you boil the towels) and it´s proven to kill almost any germ or bacteria.

Good thinking, E. This probably sounds crazy, but with or without the detergent?

From what I understand, it´s the hot steam that kills the bugs, but adding detergent can only help, no? Anyway, I think you´d want to wash those towels in the laudry machine after.

I do that with my dishrag when I handle and wipe meat.

I think yes with the detergent. Detergent actually makes water wetter -- it will cover and drown the bugs more thoroughly. Get a glass of water, you can float a needle carefully on the surface. Touch a piece of soap to it and the surface tension falls apart.

Yes. Detergent. Perhaps something scented?

Oh, definitely. "Fresh lemons", I think.
