His eye looks a bit better. It isn't as receded as it used to be. Does anyone have any tips for putting the drops in? I can do it, but it is very hard because he will shut his eye and I don't want to pull on it too much.

Try to get it in the top of his eye so it falls in.

You can also hold him in a similar hold to the handfeeding one or get someone to hold his head while someone else drops it in.

Update-Mo's eye isn't receded. It is clouded. He is still squinting. The top part of his eye (where the white part is going into the top of the eye. Where the ulcer is their seems to be something covering it-somewhat like a contact in a humans eye, except the edges are squigly.

Still clouded? I would have thought it'd be clearing up by now but it was untreated for so long. You might want to ask about switching to BNP ointment if you don't start to see faster improvemtn. I've had better luck with that anyway dealing with hay pokes and such. The genticin never worked as well for me.

He might still have something stuck behind the eye. He shouldn't still be squinting - that indicates irritation. He should see the vet for a recheck and to get his eye flushed out to try and dislodge anything stuck at the back.

Chlorlean is a very good eye med.

I am supposed to give two more doses tommorow and that is when I am supposed to stop medicating. He isn't squinting today when I put it in. He may squint sometimes when I put it in because he doesn't want the drop in. Still clouded. This morning when I put it in, he shut his eye after the drop fell in and there was a peice of hay on the outside. I think the hay fell in his eye last night.

HollyT-what do you mean it was untreated for so long? I got medication the day after it happened.

he said that back in November her vet stated he had "in that eye he had conjuctival swelling at the back of they eye".
But this wasn't treated, right? Or am I confused!

Her friend said it was not treated. The eye should not be cloudy at this point.

I thought you were talking about the the injury to starting this thread, nevermind then.

I was mistaken before, I am supposed to end it tommorow. It is still a little bit clouded. The very top of his eye (on the black part) there is a small red spot. I cannot find any forigein object in his eye.

I will post a picture once it is done editing.

Last day of oral medicine? If it's still clouded will you be putting in more drops?
