Sebastian Thread

Okay, I'm a little freaked out. Sebastian's surgery was on the 18th, and he has been doing remarkably well. Tonight, though, I went upstairs to feed him and found quite a bit of blood in his cage. I picked him up and checked the stitches, and they're all there and look okay.
I know that, back when he had his stone surgery a year ago, he did the exact same thing -- was fine and then started bleeding almost a week after the surgery. Vet had said it was nothing to worry about, and it stopped as suddenly as it started and he was fine.
Obviously stone surgery is more invasive than the lump removal, but...could this be the same thing happening? Is post-op bleeding a few days afterwards fairly normal regardless of the type of surgery?
Otherwise, I'm going to guess it's from the stone. He seems fine...active, eating. ??

It's just so strange. He hasn't bled in a couple of weeks, when he passed a little blood when he urinated. Now he's bleeding heavily. I gave him a dose of Metacam (although he doesn't seem uncomfortable) and the last Baytril dose, and am going to call the vet in the morning if he bleeds any more tonight.
Poor little guy. He was having such an uneventful recovery until this. :(

- I GAVE, dammit!
I'm so sorry Sebastian is having problems. I don't know what it could be. I really hope the vet can help explain things tomorrow and he'll be ok.
