I am so happy that you are able to enjoy his company a little longer. That is wonderful that he seems to be in high spirits today. You will know when it is his time, but until than, just enjoy each day you have together. He is very lucky to have you for his mommy. I am so happy for the both of you.

Yes, the rounder stone is bigger. Hard to tell precisely how much but it is definitely bigger.

Ditto Lynx; rounder and bigger. But, hopefully, rounder means less of an irritant to the bladder wall ... thus, also hopefully, less hematuria, less discomfort, and less need for AB's. Hopefully.

He seems to be feeling better with just Metacam and extra water being syringed. The shillintong gave him awful diarreah so I stopped that. The Actigall didn't do anything to help dissolve or shrink the damn thing so I stopped that too.

The past two days he's been hopping around the cage (he jumps over the food dishes like a gazelle!), coming to greet me when I walk in the room (well, ok, he's probably looking for treats!). He still sleeps a lot but when he is awake he is more active. More like the Ozzy of old.

Still losing weight though.

Poor guy. I'm sorry the actigall and shillintong are not helping.

We are still thinking of you and dear Ozzy. I'm glad he is having good days. :)

I wish the Actigall and shilintong had been more useful for him.

How terribly frustrating all this is. Holding good thoughts for many more good days to come.

Ok How sad am I?! You know how new moms get so excited about baby poop? Well, here is me, excited about the amount and size of Ozzy's poop.

The very large ones are Mr. Piggy's. But finally, Ozzy has "normal" shaped poo and it's not soft and blobby and there's a LOT of it! This is all in about 7 hours.

Thanks for sharing the poo pictures :) Sounds like he is feeling a little better and is much more comfortable. It also sounds like you are in a little better of spirits, and for that I am so glad. Enjoy your time with Ozzy. He is a very sweet boy and I am glad that he has you looking out for him. I know he is very special to you.

Keep up the poop Ozzy!!

Horray for poops is right! I know exactly how you feel. I did the same thing when LB was having her "episodes" and for that matter, still do.

Keep pooping Ozzy.

Somehow, I had missed this thread-after seeing Ozzy in his Rock Star T-shirt, I though he was still a youngster. So GLAD to hear he's having better days *phew*; Boris, McMac, & Ozzy all at the same time-there are no words, except perhaps, Bittersweet.

Sheila sends him cuddles!

It's been forever (or so it seems) since I've visited the forums. Sorry for the latest crisis, stf. Wishing continued improvement for Ozzy. Call me if I can help you with anything.

I think, like McMac and Boris, Ozzy will have good days and not so good days. Today is a not so good day. He's resting more but he has eaten veggies with some gusto and I've seen him bellying up to the watering hole. He just seems quieter today. :( *sigh*

STF, *hugs*
After crying my head silly with my mom on Monday night, I was offered some very wise advice.
"Enjoy and cherish his good days, love him tenderly and faithfully on his bad ones..."
We will take one day at a time, no matter good or bad, we will be there.

Probably just wore himself out ! "The past two days he's been hopping around the cage (he jumps over the food dishes like a gazelle!)" He's just recharging for the next two days :)

I hope you're right julbrock! His weight is back down to 750 gms. I told him he'd better start gaining that weight back-I'd be happy to keep him above 800-or I'll have to do more force feedings!
