Mr. Piggy Hooting

And this morning he was kicking up his heels, zooming around the cage like a youngster and popcorning in and out of his hay box! He's an inigma.
Good thoughts only here for Mr. Piggy. For what it's worth and in my limited experience heart pigs can act like this. It makes it very frustrating to pin things down. Lady Bug had more good than bad days in the beginning where she would act just great and the next day crash.
I hope all works out for you very soon.

Another problem, other than hooting. His cagemate, Eddie, is entering his teenage months. He has been challenging Mr.Piggy more and more lately. I noticed a mark on Piggy's lip the other day. Last night, in the middle of the night sometime, Eddie chased Mr. Piggy right out of the cage. They are 3 grids high!
I got up this morning, came into pigs room and proceeded to do my head count. No Mr. Piggy. I found him underneath one of the other cages, hiding between the hay bins.
He took carrot from me and ate it ok. His teeth look ok right now. He walks fine for a fat old man! Once back in his cage Eddie was back to his old tricks bossing him around. Then I noticed Piggy hunched up by a Cozy Sak. It is chilly in the house but he has a heating pad in his cage. I wonder if it's pain or he's just a little cold.
What kind of things do I need to watch for? Should I take him to the vet as precaution? I have an appt for Russell today...I could switch it to Mr. Piggy if I have to. Or maybe see if she could take both.

How scary! Sending good thoughts for Mr. Piggy, and settling-down thoughts for Eddie.
That was quite a fall. If this were my situation, I'd try to get the vet to see both Russell and Mr. Piggy. It would be nice if you could get him examined too, since you'll already be there.

I had him checked out this afternoon at Russell's appointment (they both got seen!). Mr. Piggy seems to be fine.
I am keeping a close eye on the way the two are interacting to see if I need to separate. I have put up more grids in the front of the cage to keep Mr. Piggy from falling out again - whether it was on purpose or just an accident!

Mr. Piggy is going back to the vet next Monday. He is not hooting, really. He sounds like he's more congested. But there is no sneezing or discharge. Does this still sound like heart issues?
Can I/should I start him on a round of Bactrim since I can't get in to the vet right away? She's on vacation. :-(
