Soft poop-please help
I use aspen chips.
Different bags chips can be nice and fluffy, or chunky and hard. I've noticed the bigger bags have a tendency to be "fluffier" and the medium bags tend to be "chunkier".
Just remembering, whenever my pigs are on critical care? Their poops get to be really mushy and smelly. I kept a box of tissues by the pen. When I picked up the "issue pig", I would have a tissue handy to wipe off feet and rump. (I took to flusing the tissue; it was too smelly for the garbage.)

I do not remember my pigs getting loose stools with anti-biotics.
I remember that it feeding them an hour before getting an anti-biotic seemed to "upset" their stomachs less. I mean, if I gave the anti-biotic first, they ate less. (The diminished appetite was really noticable when one of my pigs was on Bactrim.)
The feeding was freshening up the pellet bowl and a new handful of hay. Plus, lots of compliments and skritches.
You're going to hate me for this, but keep your spirits up. Animals pick up on "worried vibes". But, Sierra sounds pretty happy, even feisty and a little mad at you for not giving into her desire for more veggies. Just keep encouraging her to be her happy, feisty self!

I can't hate you JoePig...or anyone else on this forum...I find comfort here since no one else in my world understands me...
Sierra has not had veggies since Saturday when her poops were good...I wonder if I can give her a bit since the problem is obviously not from that.
She just has the worst poops ever...

if she is being treated for loose stools...and the cc also gives loose stools...how will I know if she is getting better??
Do I just keep supplementing until the abs are finished? Then see how things go?
Sorry if I am starting to ask stupid questions now...but I will risk my reputation for my pig...

she has 5 1/2 days left on baytril...
I suggested bactrim to both vets (she has been to my long time vet 3 times and a specialist once) and both agreed that the bactrim being in the same class as the albon (both sulpha drugs) was not a good choice since she has been doing albon for so long
