Her eyes are better now. But when you are a GP owner, you just know when there's something out of place. I was planning to take her to the vet today to check for URI or something else... but the vet is not at the clinic today, he will be there on monday.

I'm watching Panqueca carefully. She is a bit quieter than she normally is, but still active, eating... Then, today I found it:

Her teeth are misaligned. How I didn't see it before? :(
Could it happened because I changed the hay?

Can this wait until monday?
The other vet nearby here is really not good with guinea pigs.
I know she is eating, and she is keeping her weight.

Any ideas?

I'd wait 'till Monday but have no other advice. Hopefully someone with more experience with teeth will come along.

Continue to weigh her to ensure she is eating fine. See if it looks like her jaw is not closing evenly. You might want to read over all the malocclusion pages.

Poor Panqueca! I hope the vet can help Monday. In the meantime, read over the malocclusion pages here on Guinea Lynx.

Wish Panqueca will be fine....
But misaligned incisors is abnormal, Shui Jai tried it before, and it's better to do the xray to check about the molars also.

As the overgrown molars may cause misaligned incisors also, so the incisors may juz a symptom, but not the cause. Unfortunately, doing xray to check the teeth needs anesthesia, and the vet will trim the overgrown teeth during the checking (According to Shui Jai's experience).

Pray for Panqueca...

Jessie had teeth like that amd we found she had an abscess. As suggested get the teeth x-rayed as this will show anything abnormal and like said the teeth will be filed whilst she is under with the X-rays. Sending hugs and healing vibes to you both.
