Calvin is back!
I got to pick him up early since I knew being with Hobbes would perk him up.
He was very sleepy but when I put him in the cage it only took about 30 seconds for him to decide to come out of his burrow bag and move around.
First he had to rumble strut Hobbes, then went right for the pellet dish!
I have metecam and antibiotics for him.

Glad it went well! That looks like a nice neat incision and should heal up fine. Yay for eating!

Tonight was cage cleaning night, Calvin was doing his usual popcorning!!
He seems in good spirits, eating, drinking and being a monster when it comes to taking his meds.

Here he is today

Calvin has had another cyst removed. He had this second one for about 1.5 years before it finally opened up and he was scratching it. Hobbes his brother also had started to chew it, so we had it removed.
I was nervous since Calvin is almost 6 years old now.

He came through the surgery very well but had a harder time waking up and being alert. Calvin was SO tired when home, he could hardly get around, walking a few steps and he would lay down exhausted. It was a rough 24 hours for him and I ended up needing to give him Cisapride and Simethicone to get his tummy really moving, to get him pooping and eating on his own. Now he is doing very well and is on Metacam and TMS.

It is quit large but he had mini lumps down on either side as well removed.

So glad he is doing well!

Is there a technical term for the kind of cyst it was?

Would you like your pic added permanently to this thread too?

Yes you may add them permanently please.

I will have to ask, she probably had told me back when she first checked it out.

I shrank it a bit so it will display better.

I hope this is the last of the cysts!
