I've never seen any reported problems with simethicone. Only issue I would consider is people self medicating but not getting needed emergency treatment.

I'm so glad that the retching and gagging has stopped.

I really hope that they find out what is wrong soon and are able to help him.

I have limited use with simethicone. I've only ever really used it with Jon and his gurgly tummy. I did try it with Anselmo and his bloat episode earlier this year and it did nothing to help him. I try to use it sparingly, especially as it seems to be very sugary and unnatural.

I had an awful experience with gripe water once, so I never use that anymore.

So biggest issue is resp infection which is beginning to take hold.

I've not used it before, but it's on the safe medicines list, with a note from Pinta saying she found a higher dose (5mg/kg twice a day) to work best:

Just briefly because I am at work and desperately trying not to break down.

He died about 15 minutes ago.

BamBam, you know how heartbroken I am. Jack was the sweetest pig who had a wonderful life with you. A life he would not have had were it not for you. He was so well loved and will be greatly missed.
Hugs to you and Trev (if he'll let you!)

I'm so sad to read this.

Jack having 2 happy, fulfilled, 'extra' years thanks to both your dedication really is something special though.

The swamp monster is back.

I feel wretched.

Trev is withdrawn and confused.
