severe mites--need Dex dose quick

Those poor pigs. They look just awful. I hope they get relief soon. Are you going to try to get some steroid injections for them? Or is this what you are trying to do with the dex (I am not familiar with this drug -- and alot of other ones, for that matter).

I think they need some major pain killers. I'd really like to bury the responsible people in mites and see how they like them apples..

Dex is a steroid. I gave it to them orally.

There is no way that these pigs can even be handled. They are in excruciating pain.

This was a private surrender, believe it or not. The guy still has 3 pigs less serious but still covered with mites and crust. I dosed them but could not take them.

I was supposed to euthanize these guys but couldn't do it.

And yes, I will call animal control tomorrow.

THIS was a private surrender??? You mean someone actually had all these pigs and let them suffer so much?

I really think I'm going to be sick. I'm sorry space is so tight you couldn't take the other 3- what will happen to them?

I don't know, Susie Q. I was not even supposed to take these in. I have so many pigs here. The dumpster pigs may have CL. We will find out Saturday. 3 have broken legs, 2 URIs. And Wither knocked out his incisors and has to be hand fed.

And I still don't have a job. No car insurance, no health insurance.

I can treat these guys at home, though. But I think they need some Torb. I can take them to see Dr. R at 4:00 tomorrow.

They just scratch and scream, scratch and scream and seize. And they are so hungry. They don't know what hay is.
