Hard lump under chin, soft poop as well?
We're doing warm compresses, antibiotics for 3 weeks, and cleaning with hibiclens.. Rosie is going to be separated from JJ (my other pig) for a couple of weeks
Abscesses need to heal from the 'inside out' so it's important, as Lynx says, that the wound it kept open. Use a syringe to squirt the cleansing solution right up into the abscess and be sure to keep everything very clean.
Also *very* important: weigh daily and monitor poop and pee output.
I'd also advise that you syringe feed critical care at least until her poops are back to normal. Given the location of the abscess, it may well be painful for her to eat, so it's important to keep her gut moving. You might also give a probiotic.
Good luck. Is she back from the vet yet? The site may look a little scary when she first comes home. Don't freak out if it does.

Yes, she's back home! I couldn't get a good look at the sight.. I didn't actually go to the vet with Rosie, because I had to prepare to go to Europe tomorrow.
We are syringe feeding her and doing that with antibiotics too

I will look into getting that, but I think my mom is doing most of the work for Rosie since I am going out of the country for a few weeks tomorrow. I'll show her the picture and see how everything goes from there.
As of right now, she's acting like her usual self, but she isn't squeaking (?) as much. I don't know how to describe that squeal, but it's when you crinkle a bag and they go crazy lol. She's kind of lethargic at the moment, maybe because she's tired from the vet?

Hey, I had a similar experience earlier this year with my pig Violet. It was an adventure. I just wanted to second the flushing with saline instead of just warm compresses thing in case you're still thinking about sticking with the compresses. ;)
Also, a straight tipped syringe will do if you're unable to find the better, curved one.

Ditto the advice you have received. Please don't hesitate to show your mom this site and give her your login. We'll be happy to help her.
Warm compresses won't cut it. The hole needs to be irrigated and flushed in order to heal properly from the inside out. It's not easy to do and the pig won't like it, but it's far and away the best way to get it to heal well, fully, and quickly.
Here's Violet's thread (start here). There's lots of good care information and techniques here:

Good luck, and best to Rosie. Have a great time in Europe!!

This morning I flushed it with saline and gave her her antibiotics. We also have a microbial spray that we put on there too. Thanks!
I might have some trouble updating right away, because now there is a 7 hour time difference from home... From what I've heard, JJ and Rosie have had no troubles, but JJ did try to nudge under her neck, so my mom separated them. Her wound is starting to heal (at least from the outside), and I told my mom to give it more time for the inside to heal.
