hello, my guinea has been receiving oral ivermectin for the past 3 weeks. however, he seems to be getting worse. i looked it up and i think i've been using the wrong dosage, and i think i have found a more accurate dosage, but i just wanted to double check.
-the paste is 1.87%, and is apple flavored (from tractor supply co)
-he is 2.6 pounds, about 1100 grams
-i dilute the paste in 22 cc water
-i have been giving him 0.1 ml
so with my new calculations, it should be about 0.22 ml, right? or was i right the first time? he's itching even worse and his scabs are getting bigger, so that's why i'm asking.

Using the paste can be iffy - sometimes the drug is not evenly distributed in the solution. I would consider getting a pour-on and applying it topically.

I think you can also get an 0.8 pour-on which would be a slightly different dose.

How to calculate dose here:

I no longer have the paste guidelines on the site.
