Hi everyone. Yesterday, my family obtained 2 beautiful young guinea pigs from a friend-of-a-friend who discovered an allergy. She said they were both males. When I tried to sex them today, one of them is clearly a male -- very obvious penis that he helpfully extended out of the shaft during the exam. The other one is really stressing me out and I can't tell. One pic looks like a penis, one looks like the y-shape the internet tells me is female. I wish now I had taken more pics, but I wonder whether any of you can help me based on the ones I took. I very much appreciate any help! They have been mounting each other, which I assumed was a dominance display, but now I'm nervous.

Edit to add - I can't figure out how to upload the pics. Can someone help?

Separate the pigs! Then worry about the pictures!

Can you feel the penis bone on the one that you're not sure about? Put your index finger crosswise of the abdomen, just above the genitalia, and press down firmly but not too hard. Move your finger back and forth, and if there's a bone underneath, you should be able to feel it rolling under your finger. You can practice on the one you know is male.
