Hello,

I was wondering what green veggies can guinea pigs eat daily? The vegetable chart is slightly confusing for me so I just rather ask to make sure. I've been feeding my piggies bell peppers, zucchini, parsley, cucumber, carrot, red leaf lettuce, swiss chard, and avoid cruciferous vegetables altogether. I mix up the vegetables in the morning and evening. Any advice would helps, thanks!

I was also confuse about red leaf lettuce as a lot of resources said it could be consumed daily, but then I was in a FB group and one of the admins said that red leaf lettuce should not be fed daily.

Red leaf lettuce can absolutely be fed daily.

The staples in the diet should be leafy greens and a source of vitamin C -- bell peppers are good.

If the pigs are over six months old, I'd limit parsley to an occasional treat -- it's high in calcium

Thank you bpatters. I know a lot of people have different opinions about what should be fed daily, occasionally, and sparingly. I was shock when the admin stated that so thanks for the clarity.

Can zucchini be fed daily as well or 2-4x/week?

I would only give it occasionally. But it looks nourishing.
