Geez, Erin. You´re just shooting down every idea I have. I´m on a mission now.
What about this one: Take a bowl and mix up the oatmeal bath solution. Take some soft towels and soak them in the bowl. Then wrap the towels around the affected areas, but avoid whatever places need avoiding. Wrap either a sheet or dry towels around yourself and sit back for a while.
Okay. Give that one your best shot. Try to knock it down.

Take a good baseball bat and hit yourself over the head as hard and as many times as you can. That should take your mind off the itch.
I´m sorry for you, this sounds horrible!

Also, I always keep a pack of baby-type wipes with me and when I know I´ve been "exposed" I wipe myself down. Most baby wipes do NOT have alcohol, so look for ones that do. I wipe should do your whole body.
Also wipe down anything else you might have touched. I´m really serious about the potency of this stuff. Just the tiniest drop, if not cleaned off of something, can keep re-establishing it.
My doctor told me a story of when he was in med school. His professor brought in someone with weepy, full-blown blisters on his arms. The professor rubbed his hands all over the blisters, then all over his own face. "See!" he said, "You can´t get it from the blisters!" Grossed me out, but made the point.

Since you can´t take baths- the calamine lotion should help but if you are trying to do the oatmeal thing (yet can´t take a bath) try going to walmart in the baby section. They have tons of oatmeal stuff there now (presumably for chicken pox/etc?) including oatmeal (aveeno oatmeal) lotion. Man they have bath stuff, shampoo, lotion and even diaper rash stuff- all with oatmeal stuff. How did I learn that? Because my youngest got chicken pox at 4mo old- that´s how. (we still don´t know how she got it- I didn´t know ANYONE that had chicken pox nor anyone with visible chicken pox like in public... so apparently someone that hadn´t broke out yet got a little too close to my baby. Someone I didn´t know so I wouldn´t see them with chicken pox later on).
Anyways, the lotion should help a lot if you want to try that.
I´m so sorry you got poison ivy! That sucks!
