Evangeline can confirm:
This is definitely a possum raccoon mix.
It´s very rare and she´s very pretty.

Wheeky8 - Hey, good to hear from you!

I was wondering how your Hollister pigs were getting on. I often think of Gwendolyn, we nicknamed her the "black-faced-sheep-pig"!

I´ll leave it to Evangeline to provide the "official" identification of your pig´s color and type. (It gives purpose to her life). Very cute pig!

I looked at your other pigs on your site--your Anwyn and Henwyn look just like my sister sows Trixie and Alice!

Sometimes, it´s hard to tell from pictures as different lighting give different effects. Does she have red eyes or it is just the flash? On the 3rd picture, she seems to have dark eyes, though.

From the first picture at the top, I´d say her brownish color is golden agouti. Look at one hair at a time. Golden agouti hair is black at the base and red at the tip. Is that what she is?

It could also be lilac or chocolate, but I need to know what color her eyes normally are.

She has a crest on her head, so that would make her a golden agouti/white broken American Crested.

Great website! All I can say about your cage is - WOW! Impressive. A lot of work must have gone into making all those levels.

You have some very beautiful (and lucky!) pigs.

I was thinking opossum lineage too,
especially because of the pink nose and feet.
See attached... possum vs. guinea pig.

I guess the markings are closer to a lilac, but more brownish than silvery. No, not agouti, I know what those are (KFC).

Her eyes are brown.

Silvery? I think you´re thinking of silver agouti, which is grey. GA pigs are not at all silvery.

It can´t be lilac, because he has dark eyes. It could be chocolate, but the eyes on a chocolate pig are ruby (dark, but turn red in the light). If you are 100% sure it,s not GA, then I´d say it,s chocolate.

The pig in your avatar is a red and golden agouri, but there are different shades of GA. Look at this one, it´s much darker.

Bats is definitely onto something. Maybe we can make him second in command of guinea pig identification. I´m sure his descriptions will be far more interesting than Evangeline´s.
