Picadilly is an American satin:

Not the greatest pic, I'll try to get more single shots of him in good lighting.

Thanks Jennicat & Tracis

Jenn who is that in the picture? (Very pretty) Oops I see it is Picadilly. Thanks

To all: It would be wonderful if sending a pciture of your own pigs to tell me their names too (always nice when we see a name) not required for the project just nice all the same in my opinion.

If I start posting pics of satins, I'd like them to be as shiny as possible. I really have trouble seeing the sheen on Picadilly, although I'm sure he's gorgeous in real life.

Yes, posting links is THE best way. I hate having to wait for tons of pics to load on a thread.

I really need GOOD pics. Good lighting, composition, etc. I could easily take tons of bad pics (I have a ton myself), but since this is for a reference, I would like them to be as sharp as possible, with a good view of most of the pig (side or 3/4 views are probably the best).

Peanut is a red roan?

Betty Boop is a texel (she just got a trim in the pic)

Kramer is a texel (baby pic at 5 months)

CocoBean is a texel (all brushed out)

Great pics, Tammy. I will definitely be able to use at least a few of those. Nice and representative, I think.

I take the website pics of adoptable animals for the local humane society. I have put together a "best of" page on my personal website. I always try to make the pig pics as professional as possible to bring people in to adopt them.

Please feel free to use whatever you might need. There are pics of 46 pigs with quite a variety of coat colors and breeds.

A shelter pig, agouti (lemon?) and white crested

Piggy (mine) is a TSW American

Smudgie (mine) is an Abby mix, mostly white with possible black roaning and/or silver agouti markings

Washington (mine, passed) is a cream and white Peruvian or Peruvian X

Cheeta (now Chichi, left) is a lemon agouti and Sweetie (right) is a TSW American (she looks MUCH better now, by the way, they're former fosters)

Female lilac, red, and white Abby X from a local school

Female red, white, and unknown color American from local school

Female DEW Abby X from school

Whoa! rshevin, That pig in the last picture sure had some punk rock haircut!

Hahah Tammy. I have to take credit for the dreadful haircuts but the girls were COVERED in pee and poo and other general nastiness. 3 full grown, adult pigs in a tiny petstore cage. It was a nightmare. All I had access to was "teacher" scissors but they were bad enough to where anything was an improvement. The kids wanted nothing to do with the cutting but they needed it.

Edit: I should add that you're more than welcome to use any pigs you see in my albums. If you'd like their names or want to know who/where they came from, just post or email. I think the links go to 1 pic per pig that I've come in contact with except the baby I had for a few days. She was TSW american and I know there are plenty of those on GL.

A nice pic of Doom's roaning:

Doom was an American golden solid and red broken roan (if I can get all the modifiers in the right order): He had golden agouti on his head and butt, a red patch on his chin, golden agouti roan on his side, white patches everywhere (less than 50%), and white with sparse golden agouti hairs on his belly. In other words, he was a super handsome mutt.

Einy with his eyes all pink:

Einy with his eyes flashing white:

Einy's empty mouth:

Jackie is a TSW (unless you think he tends more towards cream) but not your typical markings:

Suzi: Abyssinian, looks like ordinary broken black, is really a black dalmatian!

She has blue sclera. What a weird pig.

Tigger is a red(orange?) and black crested.
Clover is a broken silver agouti.

Everybody else is just random colors. :) And there is no such thing as a ridgeback, correct?
