Thanks! I'll have to see if there's one in Decatur. I don't think I've seen any in Springfield. And I think that's a reasonable price for around here. I need to get new coroplast but it has to wait until spring. I just LOVE the color blue but since I have gray shelving units, maybe I'll go w/ black or grey. I want you to make me those boxes though. :)

Well done Lucky! :-D

Your piggies must be so happy with such lot of space and toys!

You also bough such thing from IKEA I see, it's nice as a little tunnel for them, but I'd put a towel or something covering the low plastic part ;-)

rshevin, I am going to the dollar store near me in the next few days. If I see some little step stools, you want me to pick one up for you? Any color requests?

I can't find a price anywhere, or anything online that lists it.

I wonder if its in production, or concept only? And it certainly does look like its off of guineapigcages - especially with the size calculations!

Uh wow, copycat much? I can tell you my pigs would hate those stupid ramps. They're so steep and slippery!

Part of me wants to scream, "HELLO!! You owe credit to the REAL creators of such cages." but the other half of me is happy that a company finally realized that pet store cages arent sufficient. With any hope, these cages can be put on store shelves so that guinea pigs can get the proper cage size. Still, its aggrivating to see that someone is taking credit for guineapigcages idea.

They don't look that steep but you're right, not that great.

The idea is good but the dividers and ramps are taking away flat running space.

I'm sure the price doesn't beat C&Cs. Though they may be useful for adoption events? If they are portable.

It says the bottom is a machine washable canvas cover? Does that mean you don't need bedding?

If manufacturers want to make bigger pet store cages, then that's good but they should do it right.

Looks like Midwest is targeting so many new consumers. Not only with this new guinea pig cage, but they also just released a new rat cage that the rat people are going NUTS over.

From reading their cage descriptions, it almost sounds as if the bottom of the cage is made of "washable canvas", rather than rigid or corrugated plastic.

Must make it easier to ship a "washable canvas bottom" than a sheet of coroplast.

I tried to find a price, but I cant find a listing anywhere. I also did a general search on google but nothing came up. Hmm, very odd. Im pretty sure we will all get a giggle out of the price as soon as someone can find it. I will be truly impressed the day they create a proper sized, multi-level, escape-proof hamster cage.

Also, Im a bit skeptical of the washable base. I always think that if it can be washed, then liquid can penetrate it, which makes me wonder if the urine could soak through.

If anything, it would be great if pet stores would be interested in carry these cages instead of the small ones. I know the Pet store we do adoption events in is very open to suggestions for products. I would rather they sell these cages than the other small crappy ones.

I like how expandable it is. And that they have the cage size chart just like Teresa's.

I think it's great that a regular cage company is making better cages for guinea pigs. It's about time! I also think that with how hard it's becoming to find pig safe grids that these might be a good option to recommend to adopters instead of chancing them buying unsafe grids that could injure or kill their pigs.
