I made a larger one, about 2' x 3' for our dog. It has 3 different sections with one section made like this, another with overlapping strips like shingles, and one with a row of triangles sewn down the middle to make little pockets. He has to check it over every time he walks by just in case treats show up.
My guinea pig isn't a chewer so I haven't had any issues with her chewing fleece, plastic, bars on the cage, or anything like that. Making them to sell, well I've had a few people say that this would be a good craft fair item since no one else is making them. I don't know if I want to start that.
I love that Etsy site! She really has a lot of fun items. I wonder what she uses for the grid backing on the snuffle mats. I was thinking of the grid that is used for hooked rugs but the squares would be too small to pull strips of fleece through.
