Very good question Holly. Things that make you go-ummmm.
Come to think of it, her new home is a showcase for her interior design business.

If her home is essentially her portfolio for her business, that makes a certain amount of sense. Guinea pigs are not particularly decorative, though, even if she is able and willing to give them the time and care they deserve.
She needs some calm, light-shedding, eye-candy cats, and I don't mean that in a snotty or condescending way -- just realistically for her purposes. I'd agree with HollyT -- please be prepared to be asked to take them back.
Good luck and bless you for helping Snuggles. Please keep us posted on how she's doing.

It sure sounds like you'll be seeing your loaner pigs real soon. Not only are pigs messy but their cages have a certain aroma no matter how often you clean. I also was concerned that she couldn't have picked up the pigs at all if she didn't notice the infection.
You have a big heart to take on the care of these needy pigs. I wish them a speedy recovery -- and shoots under the fingernails to the people at Petco.

My mom told me last night that my guinea pig cage looked "tacky" in my living room. Umm, I have a 5 year old and a baby, and our house is constantly under rennovation. Who am I trying to impress?

- Got Pigs?
When we sold the other house we were in the realtor said the animals have to go, ha are you KIDDING was my reply. I did not move out of sight as she suggested. I told her the animals live in the house to so the potential buyers can just go around them. I made sure they were all clean and picked up before anyone came by but no way was I hiding them away.
The house sold in 2 days and for the asking price, so I don't think the animals were an issue.
