I need help here. For some reason they have not started her on the Enalapril. Also, the label says ".13 times a day" but the vet who checked us out today wrote on a paper 0.13ml every other day - start on 6/15/07.
Does the dose sound right? Should I give daily, twice daily or every other day. I would like to know what others have done.
Any reason I can't start this med tonight?? I checked her bill and I see no mention of her having had any at all yet.

Elsie isn't eating or drinking on her own.
While at the vets she did eat.
When we got home last night she ate Critical Care like it was her last meal..gobbled it right up.
She had the Enalapril, Bactrim and Lasix last night and again this morning.
Her poops are small and hard.
She will eat CC and drink water but only if I really push the syringe in her mouth.
Any ideas? I'm thinking of skipping the Enalapril until Sunday. My vet dosed her at .13 every other day so I did give her more than he wanted me to.

I know this is had GPLover, and I am sorry I am no help.
Keep up her CC and liquids so she doesn't get dehydrated which is very stressful on the heart.

Ashes' poops were occasionally small and hard while on the lasix too. I had to up her water intake and then she had more normal looking poops. I alternated between syringes of water and pedialyte (cherry flavored was a big hit with Ashes).
