- Got Pigs?
We need a good picture or two of each of the following so we can add it to Josephines thread on the different guinea pig coats.
Here is a list to start off with (do not post pictures except on this thread) and please only submit a link if possible so it wont take up too much room and Lynx won't get upset with us. Also because I do not know, when you post a picture or link please say which of the below the picture should be in.
I ask people who know for sure to post as that way we wont get too many. We need pictures as a reference to go with Jo's descriptions to make up the reference link she is doing.
Abyssinian
Abyssinian Satin
American (also known as English in some countries)
American Satin
Coronet
Peruvian
Peruvian Satin
Silkie (also known as Sheltie in some countries)
Silkie Satin
Teddy
Teddy Satin
Texel
White Crested

I have several photo's which if you give me time to find in my picture archives, my parent's once owned a Magpie (manchester harlequinn), red/brown/black Agouti and a Silver/grey Agouti. I personally own a TSW, 1 lilac thingy and Sooty, I'm not sure of his breed markings to be honest. just give me a day or so and I'll come back to this thread.
Picadilly is an American satin:

Not the greatest pic, I'll try to get more single shots of him in good lighting.

Thanks Jennicat & Tracis
Jenn who is that in the picture? (Very pretty) Oops I see it is Picadilly. Thanks
To all: It would be wonderful if sending a pciture of your own pigs to tell me their names too (always nice when we see a name) not required for the project just nice all the same in my opinion.

If I start posting pics of satins, I'd like them to be as shiny as possible. I really have trouble seeing the sheen on Picadilly, although I'm sure he's gorgeous in real life.
Yes, posting links is THE best way. I hate having to wait for tons of pics to load on a thread.
I really need GOOD pics. Good lighting, composition, etc. I could easily take tons of bad pics (I have a ton myself), but since this is for a reference, I would like them to be as sharp as possible, with a good view of most of the pig (side or 3/4 views are probably the best).

I hope these pictures are helpful!
