Chronic Bloating
I am new to this site, and am sorry to hear about Milly. I recently lost a piggy to bloat, I think, but he also had seizures for a few months(only 3 or 4 seizures). My Licorice was 8 days away from his 4th birthday, which is average I guess. I tried my best to save him, and feel terrible that I couldn't. He was our baby, a true sweetheart that kissed us all the time. He was a happy little guy! My heart goes out to you. It has been just over 2 weeks since we lost our Licorice.
We have 1 male left named Elmo, who is 2 years old. He has been depressed since he lost his friend, too. Good luck to you. remember all the good times you had with her. It does help a little.

I was looking up information on chronic bloat, and found this thread. I guess my 2 pigs were unlucky with their health,if they were only middle aged. I have heard various ages for average life span. They both received great care. Maybe the breeder they came from had problems with her piggies health, but I am not sure. Anyway, I got a friend for Elmo today. He is my 2 year old I got from a shelter in April. Hopefully these 2 will fare better healthwise. I sure do love piggies! Thanks for the welcome.
I will. He is in his own cage. He appears healthy , just scared out of his mind right now. He looks great! I would have preferred to go to a breeder, but none in my area, and we needed a friend for Elmo. He will be alone for at least 3 weeks.
