We got Elle from the Humane Society and she wasn't as bad then, but I've thought if we had returned her for a health problem they probably would have euthanized her. Very upsetting thought. She's a wonderful pig.
I hope others here will give you some more emotional support. Maybe she doesn't really need a spay. Try to not to worry too much.
I understand, but your vet doesn't seem particularly worried nor does mine, so take it one day at a time and try to just roll with Sierra's ups & downs. You're giving her the care she needs and there's nothing else to do right now. It does take a lot of patience to give a med a fair trial and waiting for a cure is very frustrating.
Soft poop-please help
We just did another feeding...I give 30 cc's of CC since she is still eating on her own too...will up if if needed.
She likes the CC...won't eat on her own but does not fight the feedings. We got the fruit one.
She had a bunch of soft poop come out while feeding...no blood but very wet.
I wonder how long before the baytril starts working?

Oh Brenda I'm so sorry to hear that. While I have no experience with soft poops, I know how tiring and stressful it is to worry and care for a sick pig.
Stay calm get to the vets and know I'm thinking of you two.

ok, back from vet...she pooped on the way.
He said to keep doing what I am doing.
We were there a long time because my yorkie was in pain so we all went (2 dogs, 1 pig and 2 kids in the rain!)...he jacked up a vertebrae in his neck and had x-rays and is on metacam now...
Since we have been home she has nibbled pellets and drank water...so I am off to prepare her lunch...
The vet is still guarded since she is a pig and they can suddenly go down hill but he did seem to think she may improve...please keep all human and piggie fingers crossed for my girl...and prayers too!
