"I could not see any plastic pieces."

If she ground up the plastic with her molars, you may not see it when it passes through her system.

"What is her deal? She eats everything!"

It might be something like pica behavior.

she passed 5 poops. they are firming up too. hope this is from meds and not indication of blockage since she had mush for so long.

I'm going to check her again in 3 hours.

Good poops at 3 am, we are 7 hours past the incident.

When can I start to relax?

More poop at 6 and 7:45. She is having almost normal poop too so either the baytril is working, taking her off of shavings did the trick or she had a plastic deficiency? :)

Had to make a joke as I am feeling not so good after being up almost all night checking to see if she is pooping or not.

We are 12 hours post incident and she appears normal. I have to leave for 4 hours. I hope all goes well while I am gone. I will give her a bit of mineral oil before I go.

Sending more good thoughts for Sierra, and I hope she continues to do well.

"I will give her a bit of mineral oil before I go"

I would skip the mineral oil.

A good discussion about using mineral oil can be found here:
Sammie's Post Stone Surgery Care

Talishan explains it very well.

We are having normal poops!

And we are now on fleece.

Many happy pigs here. My son says they are doing an Irish Dance

Bookfan, it looks like Sierra may have had her poop issue because she eats inedible things; wood shavings, parts of the pigloo, bits of fleece lining from her crinkle tunnel and plastic.

Any possibility that Ellie does this too?

I just wonder because we never found and parasite or bacteria in the 4 fecals and 1 culture we did. I think you have had the same experience too...not finding any reason for the soft stool.

Anyway, since we removed ALL inedible items she has improved. Then again, it could be the baytril? But I think given the fact that this has beenon and off for 2 months it is not due to bacterial infection.

Right, we haven't found a cause yet. I just asked my daughter and she said Elle doesn't eat things she shouldn't. Our wood chip eater is Celia. You'll see her with an aspen shaving hanging out of her mouth and a guilty look on her face. She needs wood chips anonymous.

I'm *glad* Sierra's doing better. Good for her & maybe you can get some sleep.
