Essential oils and fungal infection
You did an awesome job! Having dealt with some unexpected cases of ringworm I know how overwhelming the treatment can get. You did good!
As requested Lynx, I'll start this under Wanitas old thread
This is an update on Wanita, it's been nearly a year? since Wanita has been clear of a fungal infection
The vet suspected Wanita has mites, I do periodically check her face/chest as this was where the fungal condition predominately was, this time I've noticed dandruff/flakes more on her lower back/rump
So I'm starting the revolution tomorrow (in case of mites/lice) but before hand I'll wash her in Nizoral shampoo
Maybe Wanita will never be clear of fungal, I mean maybe she'll keep having minor outbreaks?
I'm happy that I've got some valuable experience and support from you guys
I'm not looking forward to the scrub down of every corner of her free range life but I'm confident I'm gonna clear it!
I'll keep you updated

If it's mites and not fungus you'll have a much easier time treating. Mites don't live off the host and are much easier to treat. They can have very small amounts of mites living on their skin all the time, causing periodic outbreaks during times of stress. I can certainly see why you want to go ahead and treat for both and a few Nizoral baths won't hurt her. Hopefully it's just a little outbreak that will clear up quickly and easily.
