She posted her piggies for adoption because she can't fly with them to her new house.

She is desperate to keep them. Can someone give me some numbers I can give her of airlines that they've recently flown on with guinea pigs?

I want to help!

Airtran airways will allow pigs in cabin.

I've flown Airtran into San Diego. Their main hub is in Denver and Atlanta.

Does Delta still take in small animals in the cabin?

You have to check which airlines allow you to take pets. Some let you take one carrier into the cabin but some others make you check them as baggage :(

This is what the girl sent me:

Hi, I am so sorry to bother you again, but I went onto airtran's website and this is what it said:

Can I travel with a pet?

We accept small, domesticated cats, dogs and birds that will fit in an approved carrier under the seat.

The pet kennel is limited to maximum dimensions of 8.5 inches high x 17 inches long x 12 inches wide.
The carrier must be leak proof and ventilated on at least two sides.
There is no weight restriction on pets.
The pet must remain in the carrier and under the seat for the duration of the flight.
this is what the other airlines say too. Do you know if that person who brought their guinea pig told the airline that it was a guinea pig? or did they say it was another type of pet and got through?

Thanks

What should I tell her now?

As far as I know, there is NO domestic carrier that allows guinea pigs. Delta was the last and has recently revised their policy to only include dogs and cats.
