You can print off the heart page if you think it might help. There are contacts for a couple vets on it.

Yes, zazz, after months of just "noise" every few days from her nose, she suddenly had "noise" every day and then sneezed some goop.

Thanks for asking! He's been about the same for the past few days. He has had two doses of his antibiotics now. He's a REALLY bad med taker, I discovered, so I am going to need to experiment some more. Still some nose noises.

I really hope this is all just a URI and that he clears up soon.

I think it might actually be working. He just got his fourth dose of bactrim. As I have given him each dose, I've gotten a lovely display of all the noises as he tries to squirm and avoid taking the meds. This morning though there's a noticeable decrease in all of that. Promising.

Just a note. I had Guinness on a one week course and it came back promptly. She just finished 3 weeks and is still quiet. Yay!!
Make sure you go long enough. Even mild URI's can be stubborn.

Ok, will do. The vet gave him a two week course. I'm going out of town in a few days but I'll be back a few days before his meds would run out, and my bf will have my car and all the vet information of course. I live with him so Baxter will still have someone living with him full time, thankfully.

Baxter just had his nightly weighing, medicine, and dinner. He is still maintaining his weight with normal fluctuations and eating enthusiastically. Best part is that he had NO weird noises during his nightly meds. I hope it wasn't just a fluke! He was also extremely cooperative with his meds tonight and wasn't super dramatic like he has been.

Glad he gave you 2 weeks. Guinness got better on one week but 2 days after we stopped she got noisey AND had goop!

Well, I might have confirmed the UTI diagnosis. This morning, Jeeves was the one with the noisy breathing. He let out a big KAK! and that stopped the noises, but I'm concerned that (assuming Baxter does have a UTI), he's now given it to Jeeves. Oy! I'm going to call the vet today and see if I can just pick up another batch of antibiotics without bringing Jeeves in, since they obviously know UTIs are contagious.
