It was eleven months ago today that my beloved Pippin died. Today I opened the little container from the crematory and took the girls out while I sprinkled the ashes in the yard.

Giant had a good deal on lettuce so the girls had a nice funeral meal. It was also Bastille Day and the day before the burial of a dear human family friend and the weather was nice, so it seemed like the optimal time.

What a beautiful thing to do for Pippin. That's very sweet JD. He was one of our "favorite" GL babies. Rest well beautiful boy. You are not forgotten.

Thanks, guys. Hard to believe big old three-lb Pippin fit into a half-size Ziploc bag.

That was Pippin's cremains. The crematory peeps avoided the smaller pig container as they feared his ashes wouldn't fit into it.

Tempus fugit. It was one year ago today Baby Perpetua and her mate came to the Montgomery County Shelter. Both were pregnant.
