BeanieBaby make sure you're using detergent without fabric softener.

Otherwise it won't break down the water barrier.

No... should I? Gosh I feel so stupid! My parents only buy scented powdered detergent so I use vinegar for everything 'round here.

Detergent might help if you're really not getting a wick. Scrubbing bubbles and all...

I've just always used plain "Purex" on ours with no troubles.
