Charybdis-- I just noticed my "shrine of piggies" in the background of the picture (mom & baby cuy picture) LOL
the new mama cuy is very had to catch - her face is very long as well.
I miss my special girls "barbara ann & rhonda" even if I only had them in my hosue for a little while. I had soft spot for them.

No apparent abnormalities
Very fast and hard to catch; hard to hold onto (almost jumped from my hands); did settle nicely in lap
No known health problems

Paula came in with 5 other smaller piggies. I'm trying to figure out if these are her pups. Can cuys be bred with regular piggies? I DO NOT want to breed her!! The younger ones are red, white, golden agouti combination
Can cuy be socialized enough that they can be handled easier?

They sometimes calm down a bit but they are still pretty wild. No kids and a cage with lid is a good idea. They are strong. The one we posted above is with what we think is her baby. Dad is normal and looks the same as baby so we are guessing they can breed.

Yep, red and white like most of the cuys. You don't know how old the babies are, huh? I wonder if they are full cuy babies.
