I just counted, and there are 25 photos on this page. Not wanting to make it more difficult for people to read, I won't add photos to this post and will wait (impatiently) for page 3 to show up.
Why am I impatient?
Because yesterday (July 31) was Batman's Adoption Day!
Yes, that's right, he has been a part of my family for a full year already! My husband was surprised when I told him last night; he said it seems way less that that.
Of course, one year ago TODAY, Robin died, and that must of course dampen the mood a little bit. However, Batman is all about cute and personality and food like any self-respecting guinea pig.
I'm going to share one photo in this post, just because I took it this morning.

Happy Adoption Day, Batman!
Hard to believe that I brought you and your brother home just one year ago yesterday. Harder still to believe that Robin died one year ago today. I barely knew him, but he had such a personality.
Of course, my love, you have the most personality of any guinea pig I’ve ever had, and I am so glad to have you in my life! You are lovely and snuggly and you give the best kisses ever. I love your fuzzy Brillo-pad fur, the way you come to the corner of the cage that lets you see the kitchen whenever you want me to bring you some treats, and how you snuggle down in your Bat-Cave.
You are a funny little man, and so sweet and amazing. Thank you for being my boy!

They boys, I have a question. In this blog entry ( http://hoskinpigs.wordpress.com/2012/06 ... ike-grass/ ) You talk about hay from Quebec, is it this hay: http://montrealcritters.com/store/jodie ... y-farm-hay
Our slave order some and it should be here Tuesday. What do you think of it (if it is it)?
Our love,
The Schimpf boys.

It is that hay, indeed.
It's quite soft, but I found that it was really brown so they didn't eat all of it, and the brown was mixed in so much with the green that it would have been really time-consuming to pick it out. I did complain to Montreal Critters and got a refund. Let me know if the hay is greener, maybe I just got a bad couple of bags. The price is good enough that I would like to keep buying from them.
Now, an update!
We went on vacation for a couple of weeks and my brain has not been cooperating with me much lately, so I haven't been around much (also, Sandy is now hospice, so that is stressful). But my boys are hilarious, so here's a story for you all.
Changing out the guinea pig cages today.
Took all three boys out of their cages and put them in separate cardboard boxes as I don’t currently have a large enough floor time pen for them, and Bubble and Batman will fight if there isn’t enough room.
The boxes were all open-topped, and I put them right next to each other. I was working on getting the shavings out (changing back to fleece) and heard some odd sounds. Went to see, and Bubble had gone and climbed into the same box as Batman. *facepalm*
So I got Bubble out (got nipped a few times by Batman in the process as Bubble ran and got in his face; it wasn’t really big enough for two) and moved his box away from Batman’s so he couldn’t do it again.
Got Batman’s cage changed out with the new tunnel from Canadian Comforts (love that shop) and put him in with his head in the tunnel so he’d go through it at least once. Then gave a handful of Oxbow orchard grass hay and got to work on the other cage.
Got the brothers’ cage done, complete with their new tunnels, and went to get Bubble.
He’d gotten back into Batman’s box. *sigh*
Neither Bubble nor Squeak were too enamoured by the tunnels at first, but Bubble has gone through both of them a couple of times on his own now, after the first time when I stuck his head in and he went in halfway, then turned around. (Squeak backed out when I did that to him. Little bugger.)
Batman, meanwhile, has gone over to his tunnel and stuck his head in, but that’s about it since the first time through.
And none of them seem all that interested in the hay, either. That stuff isn’t cheap, you guys. EAT IT.
So, yeah. My boys are goofballs.

LOL
I will get new photos up soon. Must get ready to go out right now.
But!
Squeak was doing his usual "must chase Bubble" thing, and Bubble went into one of the tunnels.
Squeak proceeded to climb over top of Bubble, who voiced his displeasure quite loudly. *eyeroll* I suspect the tunnels are going to become chairs.
Poor Bubble. His brother picks on him so much.
Batman, meanwhile, nosed his tunnel into the corner so that one end was against the wall, and then he crawled inside. I didn't stick around to see if he tried to get out at the wall end or backed out, but dude... he really isn't all that bright, is he?
(Side Note: Bubble weighed in at 1346 g on Thursday. Squeak was 1408 g. I don't think either of them is really having a difficult go of it right now. Batman was 1298 g, very svelte.)

Okay, I have some photos from this morning.
(In case anyone's wondering where H/B is, he's staying with my friend while we try to find him a forever home, since she's in the city and Sandy is rather a handful.)
Batman decided orchard grass hay is actually pretty cool.
Sandy loves to burrow in her hay.
The brothers... well, they're the brothers.
So the story is that I was getting ready to go out this morning and decided to give everyone a carrot because, well, they're sweethearts. Everyone took their carrots happily, but Batman... well, I gave Sandy her carrot and then opened the brothers' cage to give them their carrots, and as I was doing that, Batman ran and hid in his tunnel.
So I had to reach around and put the carrot where he could see it. Getting a photo was difficult, but I managed!
