Tiggy was certainly one special piggy. As much as I miss the little pig with the big character, I know we couldn't do anything to help her (see her medical thread) so it was best she went as quickly and peacefully as possible in the end.

Misty has not had a good time by herself and hopefully her vet visit will be straight forward. Meanwhile we are just back from a visit to Thistle Cavies. Can you guess where this is heading?! While there are fewer piggies in their care now, they have one less than they had. ;o)

It seems a little fast moving, but it was best for my one remaining piggy. Misty has a new handsome boyfriend... and one that has featured in the Thistle Cavies Scottish Rescue thread...

Oh my, can't wait to see the pictures. That is one fortunate piggy and so glad that Misty has a new friend. Best wishes for her vet visit.

I miss my little superstar...

I would have said the flat is very quiet without her but there is much burring and excited squeaking going on. I just wish it would stop at night so we could all get a good night's sleep! Hopefully the novelty of having a boyfriend will wear off soon with Misty.

I need to get the pics uploaded. Misty goes in for an op to remove a mammary lump on friday. Hopefully the boyfriend will cope on his own for a day and will help with a more speedy recovery. Unless he goes to pieces and resorts to lounging in the cupboard he has now made his own. ;o)

I'm sure having a boyfriend around will speed Misty's recovery no end. I don't want to guess who he is but if he's the one that immediately caught my eye, set your pignap alarms.

He's very well behaved, a proper gentleman. I may have to hide him in that case, Clairey!

Best wishes for Misty's operation and that she heals quickly. I just had a piggy back from a spay for ovarian cyst and I know how scary it the waiting can be.

It did seem to happen a bit quickly in the end, though I knew there was maybe more to it this time as Tiggy was really off her food which she hasn't been before. In hindsight, (that always comes back to haunt you) I should have had her recurrent bladder infections investigated earlier and we might have been able to remove the bladder stones while she was more healthy. :o( Her med thread.

But then that would have meant another operation after all she'd been through previously and stones have a habit of recurring. In the end with two vets that I trust, it was best for Tiggy to go sooner rather than keep her going on when there was nothing we could do about her newly discovered liver problem.

Tiggy has been buried in my parents' garden with other piggies of mine – Chilli, Sparky's ashes, Miss P, Scooter and my sister's first house rabbit. It's a bit of a pet cemetery now. :o)

I am in limbo at the moment till Misty gets through her operation. I feel I don't want to get too attached to her new boyfriend because if the worst happens to Misty, her boyfriend goes back to Thistle Cavies. Then I would be piggyless for the first time in 15 years. :o/

Oh webs, I am sorry. I have always enjoyed stories of Tiggy's mischief. I hope Misty does well with her operation. Rest well, sweet pig.
