He does look well protected from the cold weather. Love the Christmas colours.

Is that a human hat/scarf? For adults or children?

It's actually for a wine bottle. I got it while doing day-after-Christmas shopping at a Big Lots where my sister lives. If you flip the scarf, it has a candy cane on it, but I just wanted it to be winter-y since the holidays are over.

Louie thanks you for the compliments. He was an outstanding model. Yes, I'm bragging a little. He was so good. I took only 4 shots. This is number 2.

He's such a love.

I wish I could get a good photo of Louie's eyes. He and Smokey were at the vet's recently, because Smokey had a broken bottom front tooth and needed a tooth trim (how he broke it is a mystery) and Louie went too, because they are so bonded.

The doctor went ahead and looked at Louie too, and when he checked his eyes, he mentioned that his eyes were blue-green.

I think Smokey must have chewed the bars too hard. He is my number one bar-chewer, and really goes after them when he gets excited about dinner time. He was such a good boy at the vet. So sweet and quiet.

Smokey is sick right now. He is losing weight, and although the vet is keeping them trimmed, he says that the shape of his mouth is such a way that the front teeth really don't meet well. Smokey loves to chew the bars, though and does it often.

He is congested and on Baytril, and today will be his third treatment in the nebulizer. He's active and excited about food, but it seems like neither him nor Louie gets all that excited about their pellets anymore - Oxbow Adult Cavy. Doc is keeping a close watch on his teeth.

Poor little man. He really hates Baytril. He's my oldest man, I got him in 2010. Just want that weight to go up. One thing that has changed is that they used to get a baby carrot every afternoon. But after Snickers bladder stone, those got taken away. He is currently sick of the sight of me.

I am sorry too. It's so hard to have a guinea pig having health problems!

Oh, I know exactly how you feel about wanting so badly to see the numbers go UP on the gram scale.

Sorry to hear Smokey is sick. It is just so hard when our babies get sick.

Sending healing vibes to Smokey. I hope the nebulization sessions are helping.

Smokey's lungs seem well. Now he just needs to get fat again.

Good to hear that Smokey is better. I find it can be difficult to get a pig to put on weight that they've lost (why can't my metabolic rate work that way too?). As long as he's eating well and active, those are all positive signs.
