Well, it seems Ian has named her . . . he is pretty happy with Florence and when we tried it out on her it seemed to fit :)

It's not a P name, I know, but an F name will be 'just the ticket'!

I will settle on Florence, as I think Fairy is working her magical ways on Ian! Fairy is still around and spreading her magic, even when she is munching on salads and grass by the rainbow bridge! :)

I'm glad Florence now has a name.

I think Ian has picked a GREAT name for her. Florence (Flo) is just fine.

I didn't particularly like Plimsole. It just didn't seem to fit her sweet face.

I keep telling you Pansy is special ;-)

I like Phlorence, as suggested by someone on your Facebook page.

She is a gorgeous pig, Mildred! I'm sure she'll fit in just fine with the rest of the crew. Hopefully, they don't teach her any of their naughty tricks :)

My mother-in-law's name was Florence! Nickname Flo, too. She was creative and adventurous.

Pixie Finds Her Voice

Quick! The camera is here! You do it, Pixie, I'm too small!

Image

It seems I have been voted spokes-piggy so, if we may have a drum roll, please . .

It gives me great pleasure . . .

Image

. . . to announce the arrival of a brand new family member!

Image

Freshly delivered yesterday may I introduce Lady Florence Plimsole!

A grand name for a rather grand piggy, bestowed upon her furry little head by our friend and celebrated writer, Auntie Alden.

This is the bit where we eat our lunch, Lady Flo - tuck in!

Image

Go steady, you don't need to eat it all! (I can see I'm going to have my paws full with this one!)

Image

I'm sure you will agree her new title suits her most suitably - I think Fairy would approve being such a Royal piggy herself.

Image

Did I do it ok, Pansy . . . PANSY!

Image

It's the little 'uns you have to watch, Flo!

We'd better get all this grass tidied away before Pansy finds it - get munching!

It's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for. I think Lady Florence is just biding her time - I suspect she's going to be the silent mastermind behind all further mischief. Lady indeed - more like the "Don" of The Mob!

Great pictures!

Lady Florence Plimsole is the perfect name!!!

Love the announcement. I can hear the little blasts on the trumpet accompanying the announcement in my mind's ear. :-)
