Aw, Flo is so pretty....I love an agouti face and with the long hair *drool*..and also, Poppy behind the wheels reminds me of when Fairy used to take over the steering wheel, she was such a little leader. Happy memories

I haven't been on here for a long time, and I see there are no new updates! Darn! Miss you Mildred, and your little little piggy friends too. I hope you are all having a lovely summer.

Hi Zoe, and everyone :)

Well, we were going to take photos of the girls at the weekend, my excuse is that it rained but actually, being honest, trying to get even ONE of them to sit and face the camera seemed impossible!

Flo is all gloriously grown up now, her beautiful coat is thick and shiny and she is very confident - I would go so far as to say she is boss pig, and she knows it!

Posy and Poppy, the pirate pigs, are as naughty and as cheeky as ever. Pixie is happy with life and her new role of 'support and back up' to Flo suits her perfectly.

Pansy is now the biggest, weightiest, tallest of the five!

I promise I will take some pics today.

This summer has been hectic, what with one thing and another it seems to have gone by in a blur!

Here they are!

Mid morning munch-time snack - freshly picked grass is on the menu today.

Image

Pixie: Gather round everyone - get stuck in, you hold on a minute, Flo!

Image

Flo: Me? Hold on? I don't think so.

Image

I'm going to come in at an angle and do a spot of speed munching!

Image

Posy: He he he, they haven't even spotted me doing my 'I'm so superior' look.

Image

Um, and here's my 'oh-my-gosh - the camera! I'm so startled', look!

Image

Never mind them, is there any more, mum?!

That grass looks so delicious! I swear you live in a perpetual Fairyland. The pirates are looking really sleek and cheeky. Lovin' Lady Florence Plimsole's gorgeous hairdo.

Flo has ridiculously cute cheeks.

I can't believe 'little' Pansy is now the biggest.

Good to see all the girls again. They've really grown. Flo is looking wonderful and very grandma like - she must rule the roost with a very calm air.

They all look like "proper" English princesses. Thriving in fairy-land!

They all have such glossy fur. I agree that there is something magical about your cottage.

Love the idea of the "so superior look". Have to ask why two of the girls are called pirate pigs? Just wondering where that came from. So glad that you've posted pictures of your girls again Mildred. Was really missing the updates which cheer me up so much. They all look so beautiful. x

The definition of a Pirate-Pig: sneaky, bold, thievish, bossy, rampant! Always on the lookout for the next snack to get their teeth into first. Sending other piggies off to walk the . . . length of the Piggery while THEY stuff their fuzzy, cheeky little faces with fresh grass. Bouncy, bold and did I mention bossy?

Flo, on the other hand, is firm, in control, organised (ie she sits ON the snacks so the others can't get their portions until SHE says they can)! A proper Lady!

Pixie is happy to keep a low profile, as is Pansy - not easy when you are very rotund and actually quite tall!

It was magical . . . I have to say the magic seems distant right now. You will be fed up of hearing me say how much I miss Fairy . . .

Mildred, Fairy was a special and unique creature that you, and through you-us, were fortunate to know.

We miss her and her stories as well. She will always hold a special place in all our hearts.

I second what Bugs Mom said. I don't think we would ever get tired of you stating how much you miss Fairy.

Fairy (through you) crept into all of our hearts, and when she left, our hearts have a little piece missing. We can only imagine the hole in your heart, but know that Fairy is in your heart, as in ours as well.
