It all started with Gordy...

That photo of them in the carrier box facing away always make me smile. The vet was laughing at them too.
It also reminds me that those three were the last time I got a trio to work. I've had another since but only for a short time.
We stopped off at every services on the way, and they had some food.
When I put them in the cage at the other end they spent the first hour or so crammed under a step stool. I'm surprised they all fit!

Whiplash! As I've now quite Facebook I don't have anywhere to annoy people with my piggy photos so "I'm back".
April 2012, we all moved in with my boyfriend. Everything was going swimmingly. The pigs settled in well, and I was able to find an exotics specialised vet within 20 minutes drive.
Arnold J. Rimmer was getting much better. The vet was happy with the tablets that he was on for his suspected heart condition, and his arthritis wasn't causing any many problems.
But, as my luck usually runs out after a while, the easy run wasn't to remain.
June 8th 2012 - I came home from work and gave the beasties their veg. On coming back into the room I noticed Arnold struggling with a piece of lettuce, his head moving from side to side.
On close inspection it seemed he was having some sort of seizure, and so off to the vet we went. He was kept in overnight and released the next day. Prognosis wasn't great, but they said he was trying to get up.
We took him home and separated him into this own little hospital cage. He tried a few times but there was no way he could walk, his head tilt and already arthritic legs wouldn't work.
But on the bright side he ate anything and everything we left for him.
It was a tough few weeks but he made constant improvement and eventually was able to walk again, even if it was a bit wonky and he had a head tilt still. He also moved back in with Anselmo and Toki.
My little Superstar!

For a few months things were looking up. His numerous ailments left him prone to bumblefoot, so he spent quite a lot of time having foot soaks. This is him having a snack, whilst sitting in my lunch box.
His left eye went blind really quickly too. You can see from the above photo and the one in the last post. The photos were taken about 3 months apart.
And he aways had his shadow Anselmo to watch out for him when he was in the cage
