Rather than litter the 2016 US presidential thread with Bernie stuff, I figured it might be less obtrusive to stick things together.

Ran across these today:

New Bernie video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyee_sxJpXc

And a very snappy song!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4JsLEJSdSY

A pro-Bernie citizen talks about how the Media drives things, very interesting:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/25/1403826/--Bern-ing-Down-the-Illusion-of-Inevitability If you watch the video, it is comfortably slow-paced but clear.

I am very much liking what I see and read about this guy. A breath of fresh air.

I wish the media (and by that I mean globally) would get fact driven and unbiased. They seem to become more and more like propaganda mills.

I so agree with you on becoming fact driven. So many things are trumped up on a candidate (have no value). Recent New York Times article on Hillary Clinton being investigated for email had NOTHING to do with her and ONLY had to do with the organization releasing info under the freedom of information act and how they were handling it. It was nothing. The NYT also rewrote parts of their article a couple times after it was up, going from scandalous to still bad and lying/misleading the whole time regarding tying Clinton to this when it was the organization it should have focused on.

This is long (36 minutes) but to my mind shows how strongly Bernie Sanders grasps these issues. There are no teleprompters in sight! A Vox conversation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5vOKKMipSA

In the last 5 minutes, he talks about what has happened with Greece.

I think Bernie Sanders is great: I agree with his policy positions at a rate of about 98%.

Just adding that I'm going to one of the meetings tonight.
http://map.berniesanders.com/

Hope to be able to get a pin I can wear. Am not a canvasser but will encourage my friends and neighbors to find out more about his campaign and decide for themselves.

I want a t-shirts that says "Not For Sale" on it with a pic of Bernie.

Good video link, Lynx. He aired the same concerns I have about the way greek politics has the potential to play out too.

I wish politics attracted more like Bernie and less of the power hungry, greedy, manipulative polititians that make up the usual crew.

Hope your meeting went well.

It did indeed! There were also a few older people there, along with some energetic young ones. Somebody who used to work with Occupy Wallstreet. I got a Bernie button and a few days ago ordered a Bernie t-shirt. He is pretty much the ONLY politician who has been totally consistent in his views and does not take special interest money.

I don't get to vote yet, but I do follow closely so I'll be ready and my vote will count when it's time

I like Bernie also (see, we're even on a first name basis!). I think think he's he best of the whole bunch.

Not because we've been talking about it, or maybe it is, but I am curious about his view on gun control - he voted to do away with Brady Bill (I think?) and Vermont is most liberal in nation for being able to carry guns. I think he believes rural areas should be able to have easy access to carry but not city areas? Is that right?

His gun approach supposedly is fine with many responsible gun owners.

I love Bernie, and think he would make a great President, but right now I'm supporting Hillary because SCOTUS.

Supreme Court of the United States.
Not sure I understand the reason though. Bernie has said whoever he would appoint to the SCOTUS, he/she would have to vote for dismantling Citizens United (the ability of corporations to spend unlimited funds to buy politicians).

I read about it earlier. He is very accessible. I read lots of commentary from many sides. I do have to say it was pretty rude. If they're going to disrupt campaigns, let's see how they do with the other dems and some repubs.

Things sure do have to change though! Black lives do matter!

Yes, but he didn't even get to speak! I admire him for being good natured about it. I suppose his talks are being targeted because he is the only candidate who would let them talk.
