Yes to the one less vet bill. Between the puppy with Addison's and the new dog with no tear ducts, this was a VERY expensive summer!

Aw, Vickie looks duly traumatized. But I bet she would have hated a vet trip even more!

It's always better to be lanced at home and not the vet's office! I have two I do it to regularly. Blech!

Well done to her Vickie's mum. She must be feeling a lot better.

Six years ago today, Snick got a new house! It took about 30 seconds for me to realize that the crazy people on the internet were right and he needed a friend. Charlie Chocobutt arrived shortly thereafter and the rest was history. (Dawww look at the baby Snickers!)

Happy 6th birthday Snickers. You're just as cute now as when you were a pup.

Ha ! Thanks, y'all, but it's literally the birthday of Snick's HOUSE. His adoptionversary would have been a couple of weeks ago. Facebook just did its reminder thing about my very first picture of the Snickersplex, at that time a vast, shavings-filled 2x2x3 with one tiny Snickers in it. I can't at all recall why I thought that was going to be a good idea, but I did. And it was seeing him rattle sadly around his giant cage that made me realize he needed a buddy. Previously, in the "free cage" he came with (and in which, horribly, I made him live for a couple of weeks), it was utterly out of the question.

He looks so little. Who could know the perfect life that was to come for him!
